Dr. Chad Purcell completed a Bachelor of Science
in Biology in 2011 at Dalhousie University. He then stayed at Dalhousie to complete
a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, medical degree, and residency in
Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery.
During residency, he was honored with
the Neil Smith Unsung Hero Award, recognizing his dedication to both patients
and colleagues. He demonstrated consistent leadership throughout residency,
serving two terms as Chief Resident in his third and fifth years.
To further advance his expertise, Dr. Purcell pursued international observerships in sinus and endoscopic skull base surgery at leading institutions, including the University of Adelaide, the University of Auckland, and the University of New South Wales - Sydney, where he learned from world-renowned experts in the field.
In 2025, he completed a highly competitive fellowship in Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery at Indiana University, under the mentorship of esteemed rhinologists. Dr. Purcell is proud to be the first fellowship-trained rhinologist practicing in Kingston, Ontario. He brings a unique lineage of training from both Eastern Canada and the United States to his busy clinical practice.
His approach to otolaryngology is grounded in the latest evidence-based medicine, advanced technology, and a deep respect for individual patient needs. Dr. Purcell values shared decision-making and takes pride in working collaboratively with his patients to find the best path forward in the management of their sinonasal issues.
